Minneapolis singer-songwriter Samia is having a breakout moment. Her 2023 NPR Tiny Desk performance of “Pool,” first released on her 2020 debut The Baby, has exploded online with nearly 15,000 new TikTok creations a day and 10 million streams in the last month. The song’s aching lyrics are connecting with new listeners years after its release.

To mark the fifth anniversary of The Baby, Samia will release a special digital-only edition on September 5 that includes her full Tiny Desk set, the original album, and reimagined versions from artists like Bartees Strange, Palehound, and Briston Maroney.

Samia brings her North American tour to Texas this September with stops in Dallas on the 11th, Austin at the Scoot Inn on the 12th, and Houston on the 13th.
